•Superhuman durability: Thor has been able to withstand the blast and force of some of the universes strongest beings such as the Destroyer of Asgard.

•Invulnerabilty: Like most god's of Asgard Thor is amongst those that are immune to most human conditions and diseases such as toxins.

•Rapid Healing factor: Despite being a god it is possible to injure Thor but due to his physiology his has a rapid healing time.

•Superhuman senses: Thor has incredible senses and he is capable of seeing objects that are as far out as the edge of the Solar System, he can see things moving at the speed of light and he can also he cries coming from another planet.

•Weather Control: Thor has the ability to control weather conditions especially storms and he can do this without the use of his hammer.

•Flight: Thor is capable of flying at great speeds and also without the aid of his hammer.

Weaknesses:

•Thor is vulnerable when he loses his hammer as his power are greatly reduced making him much weaker and easier to fight.

•Thor's other weaknesses is humans. He is extremely close to a young female who can cause for him to be distracted and weak.

Personality:

Thor is seen as very arrogant and full of himself and sought battle to prove his heroism and strength. Thor acted on impulse and was also very short sighted. He also believed to be entitled to the throne of Asgard always waiting for his coronation. Thor is a man of honor and he is a noble warrior. He also thinks through his actions. Thor has a dislike of mortal technology and the creation of supervillains but he loves heroes with much courage and an eye for battle. Thor occasionally has trouble with Earth culture but slowly became accustomed to it from his time with the Avengers. Thor also has huge respect for his family including showing care towards his brother Loki despite his troublesome ways. Thor became the man he is thanks to his father.

History:

Thor is the blood son of Odin, the father of all the Asgardians and Jord who was also known as Gaea, the goddess known as one of the Elder Gods. Odin sought to father a son who's power would derive from both Asgard and Midgard and this being the reason why he sought to mate with Jord. He created a cave in Norway and it was here that Jord gave birth to Thor and only months after he was born Thor was taken to Asgard by his father to be raised. Odin's wife Frigga would act in Asgard as Thor's mother and it was only later on in his life that Thor learnt that Jord was his real mother. Thor was raised at Asgard alongside Loki who was an adopted son of Odin's after his father had been killed in battle. For their whole childhood Loki was jealous of Thor and soon this jealousy that Loki had would grow into hatred and a desire to kill Thor. Being the son of a god Thor had many great superpowers mainly those of the God of Thunder and his hammer is an added power to his many he already possessed. The powers were bestowed on Thor from the moment of his birth.

When Thor was eight his father sent him to the land of the dwarves to task them with the creation of three treasures for Asgard's ruler and one of these said creations was the magical hammer known as Mjolnir. Odin would bestow great magical powers on the hammer and he also declared that he was reserving the hammer for Thor for the day that he proved himself worthy of wielding such a weapon and when he was 16 Thor would finally prove himself worthy. Thor would go on to become the greatest warrior in Asgard and when he was 20 Thor fell in love with the goddess Sif and he even offered to exchange his life to the goddess of death for the saving of hers showing his love he had for her. Thor would go on and become the only one capable of wielding the hammer.

Thor during his time on Earth would go on to help many and learning of his brother Loki's ways he became a founding member of the Avengers. He fights alongside the team but he also fights alongside other superheroes too such as Doctor Strange. With the Avengers Thor fights beside them in aid of the new threat that appeared in the universe and with them he joins the Avengers and helps them battle alongside the respective groups of the other universe to bring down a new powerful threat that is a danger to both universes. Thor would eventually return to Asgard to claim his throne away from his brother who had stolen it whilst Thor had been on earth. Despite the hatred that Thor had for his brother he did however mourn his death and it was later after the rebuilding of Asgard following a siege that Thor found his brother lurking as a young boy in Paris.

Thor had returned to Asgard after years away and he had learnt that his evil brother Loki had taken over Asgard and was planning great things with the horrible Enchantress and Thor decided that for this mission he would require the aid of the Avengers so he had gathered them for his support. As the Avengers began answering to the summons Thor met with them and explained to them what was happening. "We are going to need everything we have to complete this latest mission as my brother Loki has joined forces with the evil Enchantress and together that are planning to launch a powerful toxin on Earth from the central dome on the high Tower in Asgard Tower so will need assistance to stop him. Thor says to them all as they all gathered and listened to his words. Having all prepared for the latest mission Thor and the others set out for Asgard to stop Loki and as they arrived they are met with some frost giants guarding the entrance to Asgard. "Let's split up as it is the only way to get round them they can't stop all of us. he says as he and two others split up and are able to get round the giants. Thor made way for the high Tower avoiding the attacks coming from Enchantress and with the other Avengers keeping her occupied Thor entered the Tower meeting Loki who was by the dome in the Tower.

"It is over Loki you might as well surrender now and stop this" Thor said and as Loki refused Thor began an intense battle with his brother but the timer on the dome had been set to released the toxin and Thor battling hard to defeat Loki knew the only way to stop the toxin from being released was to destroy the dome but everytime he tried to hit the dome to break it Loki prevented it knocking him back. Thor slammed his hammer on the ground producing a thundering smash sending Loki flying backwards and knocking him out. As Thor went to destroy the dome the Enchantress had beaten one of the Avengers and she now battled Thor before he could destroy the dome. With little time left aid came to Thor when the rest of the team had successfully got round the giants and as they approached Thor spoke. "Stop her whilst I destroy this thing as only the hammer can break it he says as they battle Enchantress as with just seconds to go Thor smacks the dome and shatters it with his hammer saving the world from the deadly toxin and seeing her plan ruined Enchantress dissapears. Thor looks at the team. "Mission complete thanks for your help in saving Asgard and the world below us on earth.
