Personality:

Captain America is traditionally seen as one of the greatest heroes in the universe. He is a righteous and brave man who always wants to see the good in people. Steve has always devoted himself to the protection of the weak. Despite all these virtues Captain America has been plagued as a man out of time. He gets worried his idealism might be outdated in modern times. At times Captain America believed that he would not be able to fulfill the aspects of the person the world had set him out to be. Despite this however he is still depicted as a pinnacle of heroism and an aspect that many wish to follow.

History:

Steve Rogers was born on Independence day to poor Irish parents Sarah and Joseph Rogers. Rogers grew up as a very frail youth during the Great Depression in New York City. Little else is known of his early life. When he was a child Steve's father died and when he was in his late teens his mother sadly died of pneumonia. Later in his life after seeing horrific images of Nazis ransacking Europe Rogers decided to enlist in the army but he was rejected due to his frailty and sickness. General Chester Phillips upon hearing the boys please to fight for his country granted Steve and opportunity to take part in a operation enhancing project called Operation Rebirth.

Rogers agreed to this opportunity and he was taken to a secret laboratory in Washington DC where he was introduced to Dr Abraham Erskine who was the creator of the Super Soldier Serum. After weeks of tests Rogers was finally administered with the Super Soldier Serum. Given to him part orally and part compound Rogers was then bombarded with vita-rays which were special rays designed to stabilise the serum of the body. Rogers emerged from the vita ray chamber with an absolute perfect human body. A Nazi spy had observed the experiment and moments later murdered Erskine however Steve remained sole beneficiary of the Serum as Erskine had not yet written it to paper.

Rogers was soon put through an intense physical and tactical training session and programming teaching him hand to hand combat and gymnastics. Three months later Rogers was given his first assignment which was to stop the Nazi General the Red Skull. To help him Rogers was given the red, white and blue costume of Captain America. After successfully becoming Captain America, Steve was put through a mind conditioning program that conditioned his mind to accept false information should he be captured and forced to reveal information. As part of the conditioning Rogers believed himself to be Grant Rogers, that he had a brother and that due to his parents being diplomats that he was elevated to the positions of Captain America and a general. Steve would go on to be issued with a large kite like shield which he used often. He would later go on to be a valuable member of the Avengers team and would also become a mentor to many.

Appearance:

Steve Rogers appears as a very muscular and athletic man who is quite tall and he has blue eyes and the finest blond hair. When he appears as Captain America he always carries a shield which is red, white and blue in colour with a white star in the middle and it is quite large. He also wears a red, white and blue costume which also has a mask that he also wears and it covers most of his head and that too also has a white star on it. Rogers also wears a utility belt on which he carries vital small weaponry such as a grenade and other miniature explosives. Rogers also has a communication device in his helmet.

One day Captain America was out of the streets of New York when he came across a dirty scene and on the floor he saw a young girl who was lying there and there appeared to have been many shots fired. "What's this?" He said to himself as he checked on the young girl and she was okay. He picked up the girl and took her back to the Avengers base where she was treated and he went to see her. "Nice to see you have woken and that you are okay?" He said to her as she got up.

The young girl told Steve her name was Sarah Anderson and she had powers. Steve was surprised at first that a girl so young had powers but he had grown quite close to her now. "Sarah that is a nice name i am Steve Rogers also known here as Captain America and i am an Avenger." He said to her as she was keen to show him her powers. As she demonstrated he was impressed and he then spoke to her again "Those are some powers you have there. I can see great potential in you Sarah and i shall mentor you through and teach you more things and i hope that you will be a valuable member of the Avengers team with help from myself." He said to her as she nodded and had a huge smile on her face.
