•Hippolyta has various melee weapons and most of these are bows and swords like the rest of the Amazon's.

•Hippolyta also has an amulet called the Amulet of Azuzu.

•Gauntlets of Ares: These gauntlets were gifted to her by her father Ares. The gauntlets increase her punching power by a factor of 100 and for them to work she must be in combat mode.

Powers:

•Superhuman strength: Like all Olympians, Hippolyta is superhumanly strong. Her strength is much greater than that of other Olympian females and at times even better that some male Olympians.

•Superhuman speed: Hippolyta can run at super speeds greater than those of a standard human athlete.

•Superhuman stamina: Hippolyta has inherited her father's legendary stamina and with this she is matched by very few Olympians. Her strength and musculature make her immune to most toxins.

•Immortality: Like all of the Amazon warriors Hippolyta is virtually immortal. This makes her immune to all diseases and illnesses and she is also immune to aging as she has not ages since reaching adulthood.

•Superhuman agility: Hippolyta has enhanced body coordination, agility and balance to level that is superior to that of any normal human athlete.

•Superhuman reflexes: Hippolyta also has enhanced reflexes which are superior to that of a human athlete.

Weaknesses:

•Like many other Hippolyta is a human and without her armour she is very vulnerable especially when it comes to poisons.

•Limited invulnerability: She is an Amazon and she is nearly invulnerable but this is only against certain things. Sharp weapons and powerful guns can wound or even kill her.

Personality:

Hippolyta is vary caring and protective towards her friends. She is also a very skilled and talented leader. She is also a very courageous warrior who saved her Amazon's when the War of the Gods broke out. Her experiences however made her very embittered against humanity believing they were no longer worth saving and she became very overprotective of her daughter Diana to the point of outright deceitfulness not allowing anymore training with the Amazon's.

History:

Hippolyta was the daughter of Ares, the God of War and Otrera who was the first Queen of the Amazons who were a tribe of warrior women who founded the city of Themyscira. After many years of leading and ruling the Amazon's, Hippolyta eventually met Hercules when he and Jason and the Argonauts landed near her stronghold city of Themyscira. They had arrived with the intention to steal Hippolyta girdle and any slaves they could grab along the way. After initially resenting Hercules for the invasion she soon fell in love with him and over years she tried her best to win his affection but he constantly refused. From this a love and hate relationship formed between the two. During her life Queen Hippolyta would be the wielder of the Amulet of Pazuzu which had been a gift from her father. At the time of the Trojan War, Hippolyta was accidentally killed by one of her sisters and soon after her sister became tormented with fear by the Furies and she ended up dying on the battlefield. Hippolyta soon helped Pluto, the God of the Dead to avenge himself on Hercules and for this she disguised herself as an actress and was able to trick Hercules into signing a movie contract when in reality he was signing a contract which bound him to Hades.

Soon after Pluto involved Hippolyta in a plot to convince Zeus that she should be married to Hercules and Venus to Ares. In trying this Hades felt it would remove two obstacles for his invasion of Olympus. Hippolyta would soon add to the Amazon's and she would recruit a group of female runaways from New York City called the Bacchae and this group would clash with the Fantastic Four and the X-men. After visiting her father Ares in an attempt to get him to rally to one of Hera's new schemes she was murdered by her daughter Artume who was tired of her mother's obsession with Hercules. Later she would be bought back from the Underworld by Hela to help the Valkyrior defeat the Doom Maidens and soon after this Hippolyta joined the Fearless defenders as a full time member.

Appearance:

Hippolyta appears as the Queen of the Amazon's. She has long blonde hair which at first was black but recently it has been depicted as more blonde. She has blue eyes and she has quite an athletic an muscular body. She also appears regularly with a sword by her waist along with a shield and she also has an amulet and a bow and arrow. Like all other Amazon warriors she wears the traditional outfits mainly green and brown and as queen she sometimes has a gold eagle like feature on her head. The costume can also at times feature fur.

Roleplay Sample:

Hippolyta was with the warriors when they are summoned to gather there weapons as they were to fight. "Ladies gather your weapons ready as today we fight to defend our city from these invading warriors" She said as her most trusted warriors helped the queen into her armour. She was handed her sword and shield and also she was given her bow and arrow. As she had finished preparing the invaders were almost there."All of you prepare to fight and hold firm in your positions and be ready to follow me into battle and let us now defend our city from these invaders" She said as they all cheered and soon after they were in battle against the other warriors. Hippolyta defeated several soldiers and whilst she was fighting one of them one of her ladies took an arrow for her. After nearly an hour Hippolyta and her girls won a great victory. "Well done all of you we have today won a great victory and we have lost great warriors too but they gave their lives saving this land and we remember them tonight" She said as she congratulated them all and days later training resumed with all the Amazons.
